Is there any difference between Makeover and Image consulting?
Makeover focuses on the outside appearance in a short time. You can look great in a short time with a makeover. However, Image consulting is much deeper than makeover. I have been hearing all the time that we are communicating to others via our appearance and outlook. Why do we pay that much value to how we look rather than who we are? Aren’t we trashing out the inside values?

Image consulting is a great business to help people to reflect their internal beauty to outside. And there are many people who have great potential to grow in their personality but they don’t know how. Most of the time they feel something is missing in their life. Actually nothing is missing; just they need to find out their internal values.Sometimes, it is as simple as finding their styles which bring the true power and self-confidence.

I have too many clothes in my closet but everyday I have difficulty to find something to put on. Plus, for any special occasion, I am always in panic to buy new stuff, since I don’t see anything proper in my closet to wear.
Your wardrobe is actually more than a closet to hang your clothes. Wardrobe planning is very important job. You should plan your wardrobe in modules of your life style and personality. In a smart wardrobe, you should have all kinds of clothes for business, parties, sports etc. Your wardrobe should be in good fit to your body structure, nothing too tight or too loose. Your life style should be taken into account as well as your personal taste. When you know how to organize and maintain a smart wardrobe, then you will see how many good things you have in your closet. How will you understand my personality and my taste to improve my image?
Great question! It is not easy task; we have certain tools and methods to identify your style and personality. On top of that, it does very much depend on how much you are open to us. Since I never believe judging people, there is no wrong or right but only circumstances, I strongly suggest that you should be completely open and true yourself when communicating with me. Finally, the end result is your own benefit and so make your choice. Always remember: “Success is a choice”.
People that I meet first time always say to me that I look like someone who they know. I don’t want to look like “someone” else. It makes me feel that I have a very ordinary face and features.
I can’t tell you the reason for fact without consulting you. However, here are some possible thoughts from me: Your dressing style and total appearance might be so much like in fashion magazines. People see those figures in fashion magazines and on TV all the time. This is very good to be fashionable. When you add your personality and colors in your fashionable look, then you can look as yourself. The other reason that I might think of that you might be very warm and approachable. Therefore, people might feel like they know you. That is a great advantage for communication. If this is the case, keep being approachable and always think positive and find your own individual style.
By defining my color palette, do I limit myself to a narrow selection of colors?
Not at all! Your color palette includes many colors and the variations. Believe me you will enjoy the colors more than ever. When you start wearing your own colors, you will always look your best.
I hesitate to have my color analysis done and my body style defined, since there is a possibility that I have to throw out what is in my closet. I have a real treasure in my closet and I love many of my clothes as style and colors.
You don’t need to worry! Everybody has a tendency to like his/her seasonal colors. You have a good chance that most of your clothing is in accordance with your natural colors. However, there might be colors that you love and they are not in your color palette. When you see the effect of your colors to your beauty, you will start loving your own colors more. You don’t need to throw out your clothes. Most of the clothes can be altered to fit your body structure. For the next purchasing you will know how to invest for a smart wardrobe.
Black is not in my color palette. However, for formal events like cocktail parties or business parties I have to wear black. How shall I manage to look my best?
If the black is a must dressing code of the event, you should wear the black. You still can introduce your colors as well as your personality by accessories. For instance for man, using the white shirt from the color palette and adding the tie with own colors make a big difference. For woman, jewelry and suitable accessories from the seasonal color palette attracts all the attention. Woman should still wear the make-up of her own color palette.
If black is not a must color, you should try to wear the possible darkest color from your color palette. For instance, you can prefer to wear dark brown instead of black or dark navy to replace black.
I know people who were born with charisma and style, whatever they put on them; they look great, no matter cheap or expensive stuff. However, I never am happy with my style. Nothing fits exactly as I imagine.
You can learn style; it’s not a genetically brought skill. Charisma comes with personal confidence and knowledge. You can learn to be more stylish and charismatic. The reason you are not happy with your style is probably you don’t express authentic yourself but instead trying to fit into a style of someone else who is not you! Your subconscious knows that and warns you as giving you the feeling that something is wrong.
My job requires highly technical competency and I am the best compared to my peers and many times to my supervisors. However, I am not given chance to present myself and my achievements in any meeting. That hurts me a lot. What is missing?
I totally understand that is hurtful. Everybody is evaluated by the perception and you can only have the perception of others’ perception about you. In short, all is communication, either verbal or non-verbal. In verbal and written communication, what you say is not important, how you say matters. Your body language and your facial expression might mislead the people to a wrong perception about yourself. If your total image communicates to the people different than who you are, it is a bottle-neck in your career.
Most of the time, people don’t like to acknowledge that there is politic in any workplace, but I do tell that there always exists workplace politics. However, are you really effected by those politics or are you just self-sabotaging? Never be in victim mode! Ask questions to yourself for instance; are your soft skills as good as your technical skills? Always try to find areas that you should improve yourself and do it for yourself. After all you will reach to a higher level of your own potential which is a gain not only for business situation but instead for your whole life. How important is the hair color?
Hair color is a significant part of your natural inherited colors as well as eye color and skin color. To have correct hair color is very important to impress true you. Can I change my color palette by changing my hair color, using colored cosmetic lenses or just simply by having sun tan?
No, you can’t change your color palette. Your colors are inherited to you when you were born. In today’s technology in cosmetics, you can make many changes to your face and body. However, those are all the changes applied to your overtone. Your natural colors are defined by the pigments in your skin which is undertone.
It is not easy to find the clothes in stores with my colors in my style and fit to my body shape. What shall I do?

I usually wear my ethnic clothes which have certain dominant colors and cuts. How can I use my colors and style?
Ethnic or regional clothes have a history behind it and they are mostly great looking on the people of this ethnic or region. That doesn’t mean that everybody in this ethnic group have the same and only one color palette. They are dominant in certain colors which are the most dominant colors of those original clothes. After I have learned my color palette, I noticed that I tend to buy everything basically in one or two colors within my color palette. Do you think that I just like those colors but not the rest?
That is a tendency for most of the people when they are newly introduced to their natural color palette. You try to stay in safety zone and don’t want to make mistake. First of all, you don’t make mistake within your color palette, start experimenting as many colors as you prefer in your color palette.
